Riverside Project Practical Conservation Volunteer

Organisation: Riverside Project
This is a volunteer role
Info: Explore old ways for new purposes with this woodland regeneration project
Closing date: 24/02/2018
Hours: A regular commitment of at least one day a week to progress the autumn hedge laying and help with the infrastructure of the site.

The Riverside Project is a newly established venture, which aims to highlight the benefits of traditional countryside conservation skills and crafts. It seeks to demonstrate how you can sustainably manage a woodland to produce green wood for working whilst at the same time maximising opportunities for wildlife to thrive. We’re looking for people to help us build a small team of friendly volunteers to assist with a variety of practical conservation tasks such as hedge laying, vegetation clearance and coppice management on our 3.5 acre site in Brompton Regis. See attached role description for further information.
