National Park Experience Collection
Exmoor is one of 9 National Parks participating in a two year project to develop a new branded collection of world-class experiences showcasing the best of the English countryside to the travel trade, initially targeting German and Australian Markets.
The project is a direct response to the Government’s 8-point plan for National Parks, which highlighted the opportunity to use our National Parks as drivers for international tourism. It is funded through the Government's £40m Discover England Fund.
The collection will be made up of experiences provided by the tourism sector. We are planning unique, immersive visitor experiences which standout in the global marketplace and tell the story of our landscapes, history and culture. The English National Park Experience Collection is working with local businesses over the next 12 months to develop experiences in our National Parks which have greater appeal to international audiences and which can be packaged together for development by and in close association with the inbound travel trade.
On Exmoor the National Park Authority will also be trialling the development of Ranger Led Experiences delivered by its own professional rangers.
