Susan Warren

Bio

I have over 30 years of experience as a senior executive, non-executive director and consultant working in the fields of nature conservation, sustainability, community engagement, and health and wellbeing. Working with and as part of National Parks has been a recurring and important part of my career. I was previously a Member of the South Downs National Park Authority, and during my time as a Director at Devon Wildlife Trust, I worked with both Exmoor and Dartmoor National Park Authorities on the Upstream Thinking programme, restoring and reconnecting habitats to improve water quality in local rivers. I am delighted to able to continue to support Exmoor National Park through my Member role, and have a particular interest in nature restoration, community engagement and education, and health and wellbeing.

In other pursuits I am a Director at SKS Scotland CIC, working with a wide range of organisations and communities across Scotland to support community development and resilience. I am also a Co-Director of Joyful Nature, a voluntary enterprise that encourages and supports easy and accessible ways for people to connect with nature, in particular women and members of the LGBTQI+ community. I spend as much time outside as I can, walking, cycling and sea swimming.
