Our Platinum Sponsors who are supporting the Exmoor 70for70 appeal are featured in the milestones of the virtual walk.

Step 1 – Register any time between now and 24th October 2024, through our Enthuse platform. There is a £10 registration fee to cover administrative costs, and as part of the registration process you will be able to set up your fundraising page, where people can sponsor you directly and securely.

Step 2 – Once you are registered your confirmation email will contain instructions and a code to sign up to www.bigteamchallenge.com. This is the platform that will be used to log your steps / miles walked.

  • You can either manually enter your distances walked on the website
  • Or you can download an IOS or android App. From the app you can again manually enter your distances, but you can also sync certain apps and smart watches to automatically log your steps (including Fitbit, Garmin, Apple Health and Google fit).

Step 3 - It’s now time to promote your involvement and start collecting sponsorship.

Step 4 - Anytime between 2nd September and 31st October 2024 you can complete your 70 miles. How you do this is up to you – 1 big weekend walk, a few miles a day, or complete it as a team (such as gathering 7 friends to walk 10 miles together).

As you log your miles you will pass through 10 Exmoor landmarks as you wend your way from Dulverton (home of the Exmoor National Park Offices), via the moors and coast of Exmoor, reaching your final milestone at Dunkery Beacon, Exmoor’s highest point. On reaching each milestone the app (or website) will provide you with details of the landmark and a link to one of our generous platinum sponsors.

While the challenge can be taken anywhere there is nothing better in our view than walking on Exmoor. So if you want to clock up your 70miles in one of the UK's finest landscapes here are a few suggested options.
