Wild About Exmoor Experience

Triscombe Farmhouse

An evening celebrating everything the Exmoor has to offer: food, history, landscapes, ecology and stars. Weather permitting the evening will end with a short walk and stargazing the Exmoor sky. Alternatively viewing the Exmoor dark sky indoors using a planetarium. Please dress appropriately for the walk, also bringing waterproof footwear and a torch.

Music Holiday Week in Dunster

Music Week singers in Yarn Market
The Yarn Market Hotel in Dunster, based within Exmoor National Park, hosts a 7 night holiday break on a full board basis with tutored workshops for singers and players of instruments by our regular choir leader Robyn Sevastos B.Mus, ARCM and conductor Mark Fitz-Gerald ARCM.
The week has a programme of activities including walks, excursions, guests concerts, and an outdoor performance in Dunster’s historic market building on the Saturday.
The break is very popular with regular repeat guests so places are limited. Whatever your ability you will be welcome to come and join in with our friendly guests for a week of fun and entertainment. Young persons are encouraged and there is a discount of 50% for under 20’s sharing a room with adults. Non residential places are also available to include the music element, activities and meals.
From £847.00 per person. There are also a few non-residential places available for local residents.

A visit to some interesting mines on Exmoor. Bring your own car!  Meet at Simonsbath car park. Explore Wheal Eliza and the Cornham Ford workings or others. This site is very exposed so please dress for the weather. Water shoes or wellies encouraged. Nets, buckets and knowledge provided.

Choral and Orchestral Concert in Dunster

The Yarn Market Hotel in Dunster, based within Exmoor National Park, hosts a performance of light classical and popular pieces of music performed by the choir and orchestra from the Yarn Market Hotel’s annual Music Holiday Week.
This takes place in the 17th century octagonal Yarn Market building, a major feature in the medieval village of Dunster.
All are welcome to come and listen to this outdoor performance. This usually takes place at around 2.00 pm but please check with the hotel for an exact time.
