Reason for Closure: This closure is due to a damaged footbridge. There is no alternative route for footpath users whilst the closure is in operation.

Reason for Closure: Path CLOSED for improvement works. Works expected to be completed by the end of April but the closure will be lifted sooner if works are finished. Please take care using alternative route via road.

Reason for Closure: This closure is due to a collapsed bridge and the route is impassable. An alternative route for all users is available via public bridleways and is marked on the plan above in blue.
Notice of Intent: We are working closely with the landowner to replace the bridge as soon as possible.

Reason for Closure: Landslide. No alternative route available.
There is no access to Countisbury from Sillery beach. The path from Sillery sands to Countisbury Hill is totally impassable. The steps have been washed away by the sea and a large part of the path has slipped into a landslide, If you proceed along the beach eastwards from Lynmouth, please be aware of the tide as you can be cut off. There is no other exit from the beach, beyond the end of the promenade. You must retrace your steps, before the tide comes in.
