Route Info
This short, mostly level, walk will take you on a mini-adventure onto remote moorland where you will truly discover the tranquility of Exmoor (Europe's first International Dark Sky Reserve) at night and, weather permitting, have a chance to experience the incredible stars all around you.
Purchase a water and tear resistant route guide online or from an Exmoor National Park Centre or use the OS digital map linked below and follow the glow in the dark signs to the mid point at the ruins of Larkbarrow Farm which provide a unique backdrop to stop and take in the night sky and your surroundings before returning along the same route back.
Between May and September cattle may be in the fields. Do not disturb or approach the cattle and be extra mindful if they have calves.
