Details : Between March 2020 and May 2020, Exmoor National Park Authority carried out an informal consultation for the above proposed diversion which at the time was linked to a relevant planning application. There have been some serious delays to this diversion as a result of Covid, the linked planning application and staffing issues here in our section which have meant that we have only recently been able to start processing diversions again.
Please note that there are 2 changes that have been made to the diversion since the informal consultation in 2020:
- Along the new line of the bridleway at points M, P, Q & R, hunting gates will be installed adjacent to field gates to allow bridleway access – these will be easier for the public to use than large field gates.
- There has been a slight adjustment to the line at point N. The bridleway will continue for a few metres more up the track before turning to run along the field boundary towards point P. A new bridlegate will be installed in the new fence at point X.
